Whew lad!!

Here we are. Making a devlog. Okay. Well hello thank you for stopping over and I hope you have fun!

This is for me to rattle off about making Project Harvest. It will be self-indulgent and cursed. I opted for a more polished tone when writing about Project1 (which you can see here!) and we are throwin that out the window for this go-around. Yay!

BUT FIRST! Let’s set the scene:

  • Today is 9/3/2026
  • I started working on Project Harvest full-time on 2/13/2026

What is Project Harvest?

It’s a classic-style RPG about two young women descending through a ritualistic world of blood, bones, rites, and monsters, balancing darkness with humor and warmth.

Where am I now?

I am approximately halfway through the main story.

You could consider there to be 10 chapters and that I am rounding out chapter 5.

My approach has been to build the game and then artify. At the moment it’s all default and placeholder assets. This is giving me profound agita but it’s absolutely serviceable.

What comes next?

It all boils down to these tasks in roughly this order:

  1. Finish up the rest of the story.
  2. Refine the combat encounters.
  3. Make art and while doing so, pray my hairline survives the experience.

Can I play it?

If you are an individual who is willing to power through an unpolished experience without pay then absolutely!!! Or if you’re my friend, which is probably a similar exchange, huhuhu!!
